I called colt to try to get the history on it, but the guy that answered didn't seem very interested in speaking with me and suggested that since it was a newer M1991A1 the M actually meant that it was not a military issued weapon, and so if I did pay to have the history checked on it all it would tell me is that it was shipped to some gun store somewhere and it would be a waste of money. U.S.A." with the serial number stamped just below it. ![]() Just below the slide on the right hand side on the receiver it says, "COLT'S PT.F.A MFG. It is a black (or, rather, I suppose it is called blued?) Series 80 M1991A1. I have looked through several model identification documents compiled from several sources but there is no blatantly visible model number that I can find on it, despite breaking it down several times for cleaning over the past few years. I am trying to identify which specific model this M1991A1 is so that I can determine what it is worth (specifically, if paying $800 was far too much). ![]()
